PAS - Social Assistance Project taking place in coordination with the Urban Redevelopment Plan for the residential complex “Garibaldi 2” - Intercultural workshop on social urbanization…

The “PAS” project took place in the apartment block “Garibaldi 2”, which is made up of 194 flats and is located in the municipality of Calderara di Reno, in the Province of Bologna. Over time, this building has gone through a number of ups and downs which have led to the progressive degradation of the building, and the PAS initiative supports the improvement of the living conditions of the citizens (both Italian and immigrant), guiding the families through the various phases of the Urban Redevelopment Plan, supported by the Region of Emilia Romagna, the Province of Bologna and the Municipality of Calderara di Reno. The project involves two different types of activities:
- services which directly target residents of Garibaldi 2 (Orientation services for the area, provision of information on social and health services, community mediation and linguistic and intercultural mediation, job services etc.);
-- activities aiming to achieve social inclusion (support for intercultural dialogue, involvement of the local community etc.).

Within PAS, a biennial project is also in operation, “Fili di Vita Trame di Comunità”, which consists of a cultural activity which involves networking activities .. Garibaldi 2, addressing the topics of intercultural relations, memory, future and many more.
