Second Generations – G2

 

 

This project aimed to develop social actions in the Pianura Ovest district, concerning the topic of second generations of immigrants.

The initiative formed part of the district-wide project promoted by the Province of Bologna and managed by experts of Martini e Associati and Associazione Crossing. The project is based on the question "What can be done for the second generations of immigrants living in all of the municipalities of the Pianura Ovest district?" By "second generations" we mean those who were born in the country to which their parents migrated, or those who arrived before school age (6 years old).

The project involved representatives of cultural, social, health and sporting associations, school representatives, and representatives from the world of enterprises, training and services in the municipalities of the Pianura Ovest district, particularly the municipalities of Calderara di Reno and Anzola dell'Emilia. Through collecting their impressions/perceptions/points of view the aim is to obtain a picture of the situations in which the teenage children of foreign immigrants live, in the social and work context of the local area.
